This simple guide helps you understand how to read your clothing labels AND buy things that you can rewear!

READING LABELS
On every item of clothing there will be an inner composition and care tag sometimes separate from the label tag. This is where the fabric composition ( what the item is made of) will be!
From there you can read the fabric breakdown. But what do they mean?
There are SO many fabrics and variations but for the sake of this being a beginner guide we are focusing on what items YOU WANT that are natural , breathable and overall more durable.
SPRING
SUMMER
Cotton in it's basic form is what you want. 100% cotton is preferable but if going for a blend with anything other than linen try for at least 80% cotton. This ensures durability!
Cotton is a soft, fluffy natural fiber derived from the seeds of cotton plants.

There are many variations of cotton but for this we are focused on spring and summer faves. Again, we want the words 100% cotton on the label ideally.

The Difference: Linen and cotton are both natural fibers derived from plants, but they have distinct differences in texture.
This is not a "throw it all away" action but more so a "know better do better" attitude for the future.
Step 1: ASSESS your items and decide what you love and WEAR IT. Donate or get rid of what you don't.
Step 2: When BUYING NEW read the labels, buy natural materials because they last and LET YOU BREATHE!
Linen is: a natural fiber fabric derived from the flax plant

All of the above makes linen a popular choice for apparel and home textiles like bedding and towels. Linen is a durable fabric, but it can also be delicate. It is especially nice in the summer for hot and humid days.
